The shaft seal is a gland packing. It is driven by a V belt or directly by a geared motor.
This gear pump is for large-capacity transportation of high-viscosity
liquids such as oil in general, varnish, paint, and molasses.

The shaft seal is an oil seal. It is a smaller version of the KB type of oil seal.
At up to 0.3 MPa, even low-viscosity oil can be transported.

The shaft seal is a gland packing. This KB type comes with a case
jacket for heating, and is capable of transporting high-viscosity
liquids at ambient temperature such as molasses, resin, hardening
solution, or chocolate.
